Free PDF Translator

Translate a PDF for free — scanned or digital — and get it back with the layout intact. 5 pages a day, no credit card.

No credit card ·5 pages free every day

Reglyph translates PDF documents for free: 5 pages every day, download included, no credit card — just sign in with Google. Unlike most free PDF translators, it reads scanned and image-only PDFs, and instead of handing back loose text it erases the original and re-typesets the translation into the same page, so tables, forms and stamps come out where they were.

What's free, and what isn't

Free, every day
  • 5 pages a day, every day
  • Download the translated PDF
  • Scanned and image-only PDFs
  • Original layout preserved
  • 12+ languages, both directions
Page packs
  • Pages beyond the daily 5 — bought as packs, only for the pages a document still needs
  • Long files finished in one job instead of across several days

Free PDF translation that works on scanned PDFs

Most free PDF translators need a text layer. Give them a scan — a photographed certificate, a faxed contract, a book page — and they either refuse the file or run a rough OCR pass and reflow whatever came out. Reglyph is built the other way round: it reads the page as an image, decides what is text and what is a stamp, a signature or a table rule, translates the text, and sets the translation back into the exact space it came from. The free tier is the same pipeline as the paid one; only the page count differs.

How it works

Sign in with Google — there is no form to fill in and no card to add. Upload your PDF; scanned or digital, it doesn't matter. Pick the target language and wait a minute or two while each page is read, translated and rebuilt. Download the translated PDF. Your first five pages each day are free, and the counter resets daily.

Translate a PDF to Spanish, Chinese, Korean and more — free

The free allowance applies to every language pair. The most requested free translations are into and out of Spanish, Chinese and Korean; each language has its own page with the specifics of that script — accents, right-to-left text, vertical Japanese, seals on Chinese documents. Start from the Spanish, Chinese or Korean pages, or browse every document type if you're translating a certificate, statement or record.

Free PDF translator vs. Google Translate

Google Translate's document mode is free and fast, and for a born-digital PDF that you only need to read it is a fine choice. It has two limits that matter for real documents: it works from the text layer, so scanned PDFs come back badly or not at all, and it returns reflowed text rather than a page that matches the original — a bank statement stops being a statement. Reglyph's free tier trades a page cap for a document that still looks like your document. If you need a translated file you can send on, that is the trade to make.

Free PDF translator — frequently asked

Is it really free?
Yes. Every account gets 5 pages a day, every day, with no credit card. You only pay if you need more pages than that, and then only for the pages a document still needs.
Can I download the translated PDF for free?
Yes. Downloading is part of the free allowance — there is no paywall between translating and getting your file.
Does it keep the original layout and formatting?
Yes. The source text is erased from the page image and the translation is typeset back into the same position, so tables, columns, form fields, stamps and signatures stay where they were.
What file types can I translate?
PDF — digital or scanned, including image-only PDFs with no text layer. Photos of a document work too: save them as a PDF (your phone's document scanner does this) and upload that.
Is there a page or file-size limit?
The free tier covers 5 pages a day. Longer documents can be translated across days within the free allowance, or finished in one go with a page pack.
Do I need to sign up?
You sign in with Google — one click, no form, no card. The account is what lets your free allowance reset every day and keeps your translated files retrievable.
