Terms of Service
Effective June 25, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and Reglyph (“we”, “us”), an independent service that translates scanned and image-only PDFs while preserving their layout (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.
1. Who can use the Service
You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country) to use Reglyph. If you use the Service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you’re authorised to accept these Terms for it.
2. Your account
You sign in with Google. You’re responsible for activity that happens under your account and for keeping access to your Google account secure. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been used without your permission.
3. Acceptable use
When using Reglyph, you agree that you will not:
- Upload documents you don’t have the right to use, translate, or share with our processing providers, or that infringe anyone’s intellectual-property, privacy, or other rights.
- Upload unlawful content, malware, or material that is harmful, abusive, or otherwise prohibited by law.
- Abuse, overload, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or its infrastructure.
- Reverse engineer the Service, scrape it with automated tools, or circumvent usage limits, free-allowance controls, or security measures.
- Resell or redistribute the Service without our permission.
You are solely responsible for the documents you upload and for ensuring you’re permitted to translate them.
4. Your content
You keep all ownership of the documents you upload and the translated results. You grant us only the limited rights needed to operate the Service — to store, process, and transmit your documents to our third-party processing providers so we can produce and return your translation. We don’t claim ownership of your content and we don’t use it to train AI models.
We delete uploaded documents and results on a short schedule, as described in our Privacy Policy.
5. Pages, plans, and payment
- The Service runs on a page-based allowance. New accounts get a free allowance, and you can buy more pages or subscribe to a plan for a larger monthly allowance.
- Pages are charged when you submit a document. If a job fails on our side, the pages for that job are returned to your balance.
- Payments are processed by a third-party payment provider acting as merchant of record. Your purchase is also subject to that provider’s terms, and your card details are handled by them, not stored by us.
- Prices, plans, and allowances may change over time. Subscriptions renew until cancelled; when you cancel, you keep access for the period you’ve already paid for. Prices may not include taxes, which may be added where required.
- Except where required by applicable law, payments are non-refundable. This is separate from the automatic return of pages to your balance when a job fails on our side.
6. Translation accuracy
Reglyph produces translations automatically using OCR and AI. The output may contain errors, omissions, or formatting differences, and it is not a certified, professional, legal, or medical translation. Do not rely on it for legal, financial, medical, or other important decisions without having a qualified human verify it. You use the translations at your own risk.
7. Availability and changes to the Service
We’re an independent, evolving product. We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time, and the Service may occasionally be unavailable for maintenance or for reasons beyond our control. We don’t guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
8. Our intellectual property
The Service itself — including Reglyph, its software, design, and branding — belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms don’t give you any rights to our trademarks or to copy or reuse the Service beyond using it as intended.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don’t warrant that the Service or any translation will be accurate, complete, reliable, or meet your requirements.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Reglyph and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the Service. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the Service in the three months before the claim or US$50.
Some jurisdictions don’t allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you; in that case our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Reglyph and its operator from claims, damages, and reasonable costs arising out of your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party (including uploading documents you weren’t permitted to use).
12. Termination
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, misuse the Service, or where we’re required to by law. If we terminate your account for breach, any remaining page balance is forfeited. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as the disclaimers and limitation of liability) will continue to apply.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make meaningful changes, we’ll update the “Effective” date above. Continuing to use Reglyph after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
14. Governing law and disputes
If you have a problem, please contact us first — most issues can be sorted out informally. If a dispute can’t be resolved that way, it will be governed by the laws applicable at the operator’s principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and you and we submit to the courts there, to the extent permitted by the mandatory law of your country of residence.
